Write to Empower, Inc. is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of California and dedicated to advancing freedom of expression, reducing poverty, expanding economic opportunity, and promoting social justice.

Since its establishment in the summer of 2014, Write to Empower has pursued initiatives designed to strengthen access to information and encourage a more informed and engaged society. Among its early projects was the distribution of free news and informational content to news and media organizations, helping broaden public access to information on social justice, economic opportunity, civil liberties, health, and other issues affecting communities.

Write to Empower also publishes journals, magazines, newsletters, and digital content aimed at promoting the social, health, and economic well-being of marginalized and underserved communities in the United States. A particular emphasis is placed on economic self-sufficiency and helping individuals identify practical opportunities to improve their livelihoods.

 

The organization’s economic empowerment programs include livelihood training, educational seminars, and community outreach initiatives that introduce participants to sustainable livelihood options, cottage industries, entrepreneurship, and small-business opportunities. These programs are intended to provide individuals and families—particularly those facing economic hardship—with information, skills, and resources that can help them build greater financial independence.

Write to Empower’s health initiatives focus on improving public awareness and access to reliable information on reproductive health, lifestyle-related health concerns such as obesity and diabetes, HIV/AIDS, disease prevention, and other issues affecting the health and well-being of communities.
